Hard Drive Not Detected

Solution:

  1. Check Physical Connections:

    • Open the laptop and ensure the hard drive is securely connected to the SATA port.
  2. Run BIOS Diagnostics:

    • Restart the laptop and enter the BIOS (Del or F2) to check if the hard drive is recognized.
  3. Update SATA Drivers:

    • In Device Manager, expand IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, and update the SATA driver.
  4. Replace the Hard Drive:

    • If the hard drive is faulty, replace it with a new one (SSD is recommended for performance).
